Preschool Coloring Pages
Coloring pages aren’t just for little kids anymore. In fact, they can be quite therapeutic for adults as well.
I enjoyed testing out these coloring pages with my grandson, and I bet you will too!
These dinosaur coloring pages are a great family activity for parents and kids alike.
Dinosaurs are a fun theme to teach in any time of the year. There are ten dinosaur designs to choose from – if you can choose, that is. Your preschoolers may want to color them all!
HOW TO PREPARE THE COLORING PAGES
These dinosaur printables are pretty simple to prepare. Just print them on regular printer paper or cardstock, and you’re all set!
I like to print mine on cardstock, because I think crayons color smoother on cardstock than on printer paper.
You could also cut down some watercolor paper if your kids want to use markers or watercolor pencils. Watercolor paper will help prevent the colors from bleeding.
Using Coloring Pages in Your Preschool Classroom
If you’re a preschool teacher, you know that coloring pages can be a lifesaver on those days when kids are just too wiggly to sit still for a story.
But did you know that there are plenty of other ways to use coloring pages in your classroom? Here are a few ideas:
• Use coloring pages as part of a theme. For example, if you’re doing a unit on dinosaurs, you can print out coloring pages like the ones featured in this post and use them to decorate your classroom. Kids will love being surrounded by their favorite dinosaurs!
• Laminate completed coloring pages and use them as playdough mats. Have kids fill in the outlines with playdough to build dinosaurs.
• Let kids color their own name tags or desk plates. This is a great way to help kids feel ownership over their space and belongings.
Whatever way you choose to use them, preschoolers are sure to love these free printable coloring pages!
