Ocean I Spy
This free printable pack includes three different I Spy games for preschoolers and kindergarteners.
Preparing the Worksheets
To get started, gather the materials you’ll need to prepare the activity. I suggest the following:
- printer
- printer paper
- pencil
- laminator (optional)
- laminating film (optional)
Now that you have all of your supplies, let’s get started with the prep work.
First, scroll to the very bottom of this post and enter your email address to request the file. Save the file to your computer. Open and print the worksheets making as many as you need for your students.
If you’d like to make the activity reusable, laminate the pages or slip them in a dry-erase pocket. That’s it! Now, you’re all set to use this activity with your preschoolers.
Completing the Activity
To start the activity, gather your students and explain the rules of the game. Ask them to identify each object/animal at the bottom of the I Spy worksheet. Then, have them find and count each one writing the number in the box beside the image.
Once they have identified all the creatures, you can then talk about concepts such as less, more, least, and most. Finally, when they’re done with one worksheet, they can move on to the next one. Through this fun activity, they will gain valuable knowledge while enjoying themselves!
NOTE: If your child has trouble keeping track of what they’ve counted, have them cover the animal/object with a small counter.
