Dinosaur Color Matching
Are you ready for another dinosaur activity to use with your little ones? I can’t wait for you to use this Dinosaur Color Matching worksheets with your toddlers and preschoolers.
Do you have a little one that loves to play with playdough? How about a dinosaur lover? If you have either of these, you’ll love this hands-on learning activity.
Building fine motor skills is important for little ones. These muscles will help your child with handwriting, buttoning buttons, tying shoes, and so much more.
This dinosaur activity encourages kids to practice color recognition, color matching, and pinching/rolling playdough.
Preparing the Activity
All you need to do to prep this activity is print, laminate, and go. If you don’t have a laminator, you can slip the page into a dry erase pouch.
Laminating (or using the pouch) allows kids to use this activity page over and over again. The playdough won’t stick to the paper.
Using the Printable
This is a super easy activity to use with little ones. Provide a lump of playdough in every color you see on the dinosaur worksheet – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink.
Have your child make two playdough balls from each color mentioned above.
Now, have them fill in the blank spaces on each dinosaur with matching playdough balls.
Variations
For toddlers who aren’t quite ready for color matching, let them just work on filling the holes. It’s not too early to start strengthening fine motor skills.
If you don’t have playdough, you can use other items to fill in those holes. Use buttons, dot markers, or even crayons to complete the activity.
