Parts of a Strawberry Plant Worksheet Pack
This summer, teach your kids about strawberries with this parts of a strawberry plant worksheet pack. It includes two printable activities!
If you garden with your kids then you’ve likely tried growing strawberries at some point. We tried two years in a row, but we couldn’t keep the animals out of ours.
I really wanted my kids to see the parts of a strawberry plant up close and personal. Instead, we use activities like these free preschool printables to study strawberries instead.
Even though we can’t get our strawberries to grow, we do love eating them all summer long. Strawberry shortcake, strawberry pancakes, strawberries and whipped cream… Yum!
parts of a strawberry plant worksheet
This set of strawberry activities is perfect for preschool and kindergarten kiddos. Add them to your strawberry unit plan. They also work with lessons about gardening, healthy eating, fruits and vegetables, and Letter of the Week “S”.
This preschool worksheet pack includes two activities. The first is a “parts of a strawberry plant” spinner. It’s available in both print and color. I suggest printing it on cardstock for durability.
You could print the color copy and laminate it for teaching purposes, and print the black and white copy on regular printer paper. Have kids color it before assembling the spinner.
Then, have kids discuss and name the parts of a strawberry plant. If you have a strawberry plant on hand, have them identify each part on the real plant as they see it on the spinner.
Then, once kids are familiar with the parts of a strawberry plant, have them complete the label page. It is also available in both color and black and white. There is also a control page for you to use as a teaching tool or for kids to use to check their work.
I suggest printing the control page on cardstock and laminating it for durability. Then, choose the color or black and white page for the kids to complete. They can cut/paste the labels or handwrite them in the boxes around the strawberry plant image.
