Transportation ABC Letter Practice

Handwriting practice is important for preschool and kindergarten students. These worksheets are a great resource to have on hand. At the top of each page, there is an uppercase and lowercase letter with arrows that demonstrate proper letter formation.

Under that, there are writing lines on which your kids can practice writing both uppercase and lowercase letters. They can trace the letter at the beginning of each line, and then they’ll write it on their own all the way across.

There is one page for each letter of the alphabet. There are three uppercase tracing lines and two lowercase tracing lines for each letter.

On the right hand side of each page, there is a vehicle that starts with the featured letter. This is a great time to focus on beginning sounds. Be sure your preschooler can identify the sound each letter makes as you go through these pages.

Finally, it’s time to focus on letter identification. There are 20 letters in the bottom right hand corner of each page. Kids are to find and identify the featured letter in each box. They can color the circles or dot them with a dot marker. Or, they can just cover the letter with a counter.

Variations:

You can make these pages reusable by laminating them or putting them in dry erase pouches. Then, kids can use dry erase markers to complete the pages. For the letter identification portion, they can color the circles or cover them with a button or clear gem.
