Christmas Alphabet Game
Knowing the alphabet and recognizing each letter is a valuable skill for kids to learn, and it’s the foundation needed for learning to read.
Kids need a lot of practice with the alphabet. They need to be able to identify each letter of the alphabet in both uppercase and lowercase. And, they need to be able to match each uppercase letter to its matching lowercase letter.
This Christmas alphabet matching game provides a new way to help your kids practice this necessary skill.
How to Use These Pages
To prepare the Christmas wreath alphabet pages, simply print and laminate them. I suggest printing on cardstock for durability.
Set up this activity by placing the wreath pages on the table with a set of alphabet manipulatives. You can use alphabet magnets, beads, or foam alphabet letters.
Variations:
There are a variety of ways to use these pages. You could set them on a table and let your kids lay each letter on top of its match.
You could tape the pages to the fridge or a magnetic surface and have your kids stick a letter magnet on top of its match.
Lastly, you could make this a travel activity by binding the pages together. Place a velcro dot on each letter on the page. Put the other half of a velcro dot set on the back of each letter manipulative. Then, kids can stick the matches together.
