Many preschool and kindergarten children learn to read with the help of Reading Eggs. Now, you can enhance those lessons with Reading Eggs workbooks!
The Reading Eggs website is very popular amongst the homeschool community. Homeschool moms love watching their little ones proceed through the levels of Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress.
Blake eLearning, the creators of Reading Eggs, also has a math program that is gaining in popularity. While the reading programs are designed for ages 2-13, Mathseeds is designed for 3-9. It’s a great way to get kids started on the right foot!
Some kids learn best by engaging several learning styles. My own kids enjoyed hands-on activities, online games, and workbooks that supplemented or enhanced their lessons.
Reading Eggs Workbooks
My youngest was a HUGE fan of workbooks. She never wanted to be left out of the learning time in our homeschool, and loved working through the workbooks we picked up at Target or the Dollar Tree. If we had to go out for the day, she’d always grab a workbook to work through in the car or in a waiting room.
Workbooks tend to get a bad rap in the homeschool community. They’re often dubbed as “busy work” or “school at home”. But, the truth is, that some kids really enjoy them.
If your kid really enjoys workbooks, then use them in your homeschool. In order to engage your young learners, you have to teach the way they learn.
Reading Eggs workbooks are wonderful! They are printed on high quality paper. The colors are bright and colorful, and the activities are easy to follow.
Essential Skills Workbooks
The kindergarten reading workbook covers the first 60 lessons of the Reading Eggs online program. The workbook focuses on phonics, sight words, and handwriting.
The kindergarten math workbook covers the first 50 lessons of the Mathseeds online math program. It features numbers, operations, patterns, geometry, and measurement.
Both workbooks have a welcome section in the front which describes how you can integrate the workbooks with the online lessons.
The year planner, or curriculum map, lays out exactly what is taught in the workbooks and which lessons they correspond with in the online program. This is great if you are looking to focus on a specific skill.
I love that the workbooks are colorful and engaging. The lessons are quick and easy to implement without adding busywork to your homeschool day. These workbooks can be used without the online program as a stand-alone resource.
However, if you’d like to try them both you can!
Why don’t you hop on over to Reading Eggs and try it FREE for 4 weeks! Hurry, though, as this offer expires on October 17.
AND… you can use the code WK10UBX4YZM at checkout to save 10% on the workbooks! Again, you will want to hurry over and grab your workbooks today. This offer expires on October 15.
