Preparing the Worksheets

These worksheets are print-and-go making them a breeze to prepare for your preschoolers and kindergarteners.

For one time use, print them on regular printer paper. For repeated use, print them on cardstock and laminate them for durability. If you don’t have a laminator, slip them in a dry erase pouch and have kids complete them with a dry erase marker.

Completing the Worksheets

At the top left of each page is a large set of letters – both uppercase and lowercase. Kids can trace the letters, build them with playdough, or just color them in.

At the top right of each page is an image of an object that starts with the featured letter. Kids can color the picture.

Next, kids will trace and write both uppercase and lowercase letters using the directional arrows as examples.

Then, there is a row of images. Your preschooler should color the one that begins with the featured beginning sound.

Finally, students will find a row of letters. They’ll identify all of the featured letter. They can color the letter, dot it with a dot marker, or cover it with a clear bingo chip.

Alphabet Activities

There are so many ways you can expand the use of these alphabet practice sheets.

After completing a worksheet, send your child on a scavenger hunt. See if they can find 5-10 items in the room or around the house that begin with the featured letter.

Have your child name more objects that begin with the sound of the featured letter. Write those words on the back of the worksheet, and then have your preschooler trace or write those words on their own.

Play alphabet I Spy with your little ones. Have them guess objects that begin with the featured letter of the worksheet.
