Counting Activities for Preschoolers

Pumpkin counting is a fun and festive way to help preschoolers learn one of the most important life skills: counting.

But it’s not the only activity that involves counting. Here are some more ideas to get you started.

– Play the classic game of hide-and-seek, but with a twist. Instead of just counting to 10 or 20, see how high your child can count. They’ll be surprised at how fast the numbers add up!

– Go on a nature walk and count all the different types of leaves, flowers, and insects you see.

– Cook together and count out the ingredients for a recipe. This is a great way to sneak in some math practice!

– Play a game of hopscotch. As your child hops from square to square, have them count out loud.
