Completing the Activities

Print out the free counting worksheets. If you’d like to make them reusable, laminate them and use dry-erase markers to complete the activities.

Three of the activities in this printable pack have children counting objects in a set and choosing the correct number from a set of three.

Each of these activities helps kids work on one-to-one correspondence and number recognition.

Kids can use dot markers, clear gems, or crayons/pencils to identify the correct number.

You could also make this a hands-on counting activity by cutting the boxes apart and having kids use wooden clothespins to mark the correct numbers.

This would be a fun way to work on some fine motor skills with your preschoolers.

In addition to the counting activities described above, there are three Count and Match pages.

Kids will count the objects in each set, and then, they’ll draw a line matching the set to the correct number.

This is also a great activity for strengthening counting and number recognition skills. In addition, drawing the matching line is good for hand-eye coordination.
