Count and Color Worksheets
While these worksheets may look like a simple counting activity, they really work on quite a few skills in one activity.
Number Words
Each page features six sets to count and color. Preschool and kindergarten learners will read the sentence in each box to see how many apples to color. This is a great time to focus on number words.
After identifying the number words, kids will color the appropriate number of apples in each set.
One-to One Correspondence
One-to-one correspondence refers to the ability to match one number to one object when counting. It helps for the child to touch an object as they count it – one touch to one number.
Counting Practice
Now, it’s time for counting practice. After identifying the number word, children will color that number of apples in each set.
Each set includes ten apples, and children will color 1-10 apples in each box.
