What You’ll Need

• white cardstock

• scissors

• jumbo craft stick

• gluestick

• rabbit craft template (at the bottom of this post)

What You’ll Do

Download the rabbit craft template and print it out on white cardstock. I like to use cardstock, because it’s sturdier than regular printer paper.

Cut apart each of the pieces of the rabbit puppet.

Note: Allowing your preschoolers and kindergarteners to cut out these pieces on their own, is a great way for them to strengthen fine motor skills.

The pieces may not be cut out perfectly, but the more they practice… the better they’ll get.

Glue the head to the top of the body, and then glue bottom of each ear to the backside of the head.

Paste the arm to the left side of the body below the head. Finally, glue the legs to the bottom of the body.

Glue the craft stick to the back of the legs. Now, your puppet is complete.

It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny  – P.J. Funnybunny is tired of cooked carrots and his big ears. It would be way more fun to be a bear, a bird, or a pig…right? I Am a Bunny – In the spring, Nicholas picks flowers and chases butterflies, and in the summer, watches the frogs in the pond. In the autumn, he sees the animals preparing for the winter. 1. I’m thinking about adding some felt, eyes and cotton to the puppet so I can use it as a prop when reading a bunny story to the kids. Thanks so much for such a cute project.
