Life Cycle Sequencing Worksheets

Life cycles are a great way to have kids practice sequencing. There is a natural order to each living thing’s life cycle. When kids put those life cycles in order, they can then retell it as a story using the pictures as prompts.

This set of life cycle sequencing activities includes six worksheets. In this pack, you’ll find sequencing worksheets for bat, bee, apple, pumpkin, spider, and sunflower. Each page has students sequencing four steps of the life cycle.

Kids will label the boxes 1-4 to put the steps in order. Then, they can color the pictures if they’d like. Afterward, let your students tell you the life cycle in order.

When you use these worksheets in conjunction with my life cycle sequencing puzzles, kids can further practice the life cycle while learning key vocabulary words related to each living thing featured.

While these worksheets can all be used all year long, they also work well within specific seasonal themes. For instance, the bee is a great worksheet to add to your spring lessons while the bat, spider, and pumpkin work well within your Halloween or October lessons.

You can also add them to your Letter of the Week Bb, Pp, Ss, and Aa lesson plans.
