Butterfly Snack Craft

Making crafts can be a great way to keep preschoolers entertained while teaching them important skills such as creativity and imagination.

With this easy-to-make butterfly snack craft, kids will have fun learning how to make something unique with just a few simple materials.

Materials:

• pipe cleaners • fruit cereal • fish crackers • mini pretzels • small plastic zip-top baggies

Instructions:

Fill each baggie with snacks, but don’t overfill them. There needs to be a little room in each baggie to wrap the pipe cleaner around it a bit.

Carefully press out all of the air from the bag before sealing it shut.

Divide the snack bag down the middle. Fold the top of the baggie to the back to hide it.

Wrap a colorful pipe cleaner around the middle of the bag. Secure the top of your pipe cleaner to the baggie by twisting it a few times.

To make the antennae, wind the pipe cleaner around a pencil to curl it. Repeat this over and over again as many times as you need to create enough snacks for your entire class.
