I love crafting with preschoolers. This letter of the week preschool craft combines learning letters with a fun craft that pairs well with so many preschool themes – Letter Uu, weather, rain/rainbows, and spring.

U is for Umbrella Craft

This U is for Umbrella craft is so much fun, and it’s so simple to create. It’s simple to put together with a little prep work from mom or teacher.

What You’ll Need

What You’ll Do

Download the U is for umbrella craft template. Print and cut out the pieces.

Trace the letter U on a piece of construction paper, and cut it out.

Trace the pieces of the umbrella on colored paper. Make one large umbrella shape from one color. Then, make the umbrella strips out of other colors.

Glue the stripes onto the umbrella base and let it dry.

Finally, glue the assembled umbrella to the letter U. You can then glue the entire craft to a full sheet of construction paper, if you’d like.
