What You’ll Need
- toilet paper roll or cardboard tube
- construction paper
- pencil
- markers
- scissors
- ruler
- glue
- googly eyes
What You’ll Do
To get started, gather your supplies and print out the template.
If you’re using the colored version, cut out all of the pieces now.
If you’re using the black and white version, color the pieces and cut them out.
You could also trace the pieces on construction paper and cut them out.
Glue the monkey’s face to the head, the inner ears to the outer ears, and the hands to the end of the arms.
Glue the ears behind the head and the googly eyes onto the face. Then, use markers to draw facial features.
Glue the long strip to the cardboard tube. Wrap it around, and secure the other end.
Now, glue the monkey’s head to the top of the tube. I glue the “chin” so that the head sticks out at the top.
Then, glue the oval piece to the middle part of the toilet paper roll. This is the monkey’s “belly”.
Glue the arms to either side of the cardboard tube. The shoulders should be under the head and the hands will rest on the tummy.
Finally, glue the tail to the back of the toilet paper roll.
