Your kids will love them! And, you’ll love that they are no prep making them perfect for busy preschool teachers and moms.

Thanksgiving I Spy Games

When kids play I Spy they build visual discrimination skills. Oftentimes, they are searching for items that look similar in color, style, or size. They have to pay attention to detail as they search for the featured objects in each I Spy game.

This particular set of I Spy games isn’t as tricky as some, but it’s still a great way to train young children to pay attention to details.

Another skill that’s reinforced in I Spy games is counting and number formation. Kids count each of the featured objects in the game and write the number in the boxes at the bottom of each page. This is a great way to encourage proper number formation.

Finally, kids can work on fine motor and one-to-one correspondence with these games. For kids who struggle to find all of the objects because they lose track of which ones they’ve counted, you can have them put a counter on each one as they count it.

This helps build fine motor skills as they pick up each counter or gem. And, you reinforce one-to-one correspondence and hand-eye coordination as your child covers each item.

Variations:

You can make this set of printable I Spy games reusable if you laminate them or slip them in a dry erase pocket.

If you choose this route, just have your kids use a dry erase marker to write the numbers in each box.
