This winter, preschoolers can practice sequencing with this set of “how to build a snowman” sequence card printables. They’re perfect for your winter lessons.
Teach preschoolers the logical order of things with sequencing cards. Whether your focus is daily life skills, seasonal sequencing activities, or story sequencing, there are so many activities you can present to your preschoolers.
This sequencing activity focuses on the steps kids take to build a snowman.
Sequencing Card Printables
This low-prep pack of sequencing cards is the perfect addition to your winter homeschool preschool lessons. Just print, laminate, and cut. Then, you’re all ready to go!
There are quite a few ways to use these cards with your preschool and kindergarten students. Some may require a little more adult input than others, but all of them are designed to give your kids hours of sequencing practice this winter.
I would start with the cards that contain both words and pictures. This gives kids a chance to look at the images while you read the steps aloud.
As you go over these cards with your students, place them in order in a long line on the floor. Then, see if they can use the pictures to retell the steps to you.
Next, hand your child the picture-only cards. Read the steps in order, and see if they can choose the image that corresponds with each step. Have them line the cards up on order as you do this activity together.
You could also have them order the picture cards on their own. Then, you can read the steps aloud as they check to see whether they’ve put the cards in the correct sequence.
