R is for Rainbow
In this free set of rainbow activities, you’l receive six pages that focus on the following skills:
- Recognize the letter Rr
- Write the letter Rr
- Number recognition
- Reading color words
- Using dot markers
- Using scissors
- Counting to ten
The first page in this activity pack encourages children to read the color code at the top of the page to complete a color-by-number picture of a rainbow. This is a great activity to focus on numbers 1-8, read color words, and following directions.
The second page, a rainbow coloring page, is perfect for helping kids develop fine motor skills and creativity. Kids can color the rainbow on the page before tracing letter R and r.
Next, kids will trace the dotted line to finish the picture of a rainbow. This is a great way to practice proper pencil grip, logical reasoning, and creativity as they color their finished rainbow.
Then, on the next page, kids will count the hearts on each rainbow picture and color the correct number. This is great for practicing counting and number recognition to ten.
Next, your young learners will use dot markers to fill in the circles on the rainbow. Doing so will help preschoolers strengthen motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
