Print out these summer fun coloring pages. Add them to your summer activities, save them for a rainy day, or bind them for a summer road trip activity. Either way, your kids will love each and every page.
The best thing about these coloring pages is that they double as an educational activity. But, your kids won’t even realize they’re learning.
Free Printable Summer Coloring Pages
Not only are these free summer coloring pages easy to bind together for a portable summer activity, but they can help your kids work on some basic reading skills.
All you’ve got to do is print out the coloring pages, and you’re all set. You can pop them in a skinny binder, or you can give your child one page at a time.
My favorite part of these coloring pages is the sentences. Each sentence is designed to help you do a few things depending upon your child’s skill level.
• Kids can see that letters make up words and words make up sentences. You can also point out that each sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a period.
• Each sentence contains sight words. If you are working on sight words with your child, have them search for the sight words in each sentence.
• Every sentence contains a color word. This is great for kids who are working on color word recognition or learning how to spell color words. Have your child color each color word the appropriate color.
• Sentences also contain a word that names each featured picture. Have your child help you read each sentence and use the picture as a context clue if necessary to read each one.
