This preschool Easter egg art is perfect for helping little ones strengthen fine motor skills while they create this open-ended art project.

Add this quick and easy art project to your Easter activities for preschoolers. If you can handle a little bit of a messy project, your kids will love this one!

I am a huge fan of process art, because there is no right or wrong way to do it. Kids can express their creativity without the constraints of a typical craft tutorial.

Preschool Easter Egg Art

Kids can use their favorite colors to create this one-of-a-kind preschool art project. The supplies you need to create this project can be found at your local dollar store if you don’t have them on hand already.

What You’ll Need

What You’ll Do

Gather a handful of plastic Easter eggs. Break the eggs open so you have two halves.

Pour washable paint onto a paper plate. You will want to pour enough for the egg to fit on. Leave space between colors.

Dip the egg into each paint color.

Print the egg onto the paper, creating paint circles around the paper.

Repeat the steps above and create as many circles on the paper.

Place the pom poms on the clothespins. Dip the clothespins in the paint and dab the pom poms onto the paper.

Use the feathers to paint the excess paint. 

Set aside to dry. Display!

Materials

  • Washable craft paint (orange, yellow)
  • Plastic Chick Easter Eggs
  • Paper plate
  • White paper
  • 2 clothespins
  • Pom poms
  • Craft feathers

Instructions

    1. Gather a handful of plastic Easter eggs. Break the eggs open so you have two halves.
