Preschool Apple Craft

One of the easiest apple crafts to make is apple scented playdough. Go to your local craft store’s baking section for apple flavoring. You can add the extract, red food coloring, and cinnamon to your favorite playdough recipe for a sweet-smelling fall craft.

Nothing is cuter than a kid’s thumbprint craft. Make a tree out of construction paper. You can even trace your child’s arm to make the trunk of the tree. Then, using red paint or a red ink pad, have kids add their thumbprints to the paper. You will have an adorable apple-themed craft to display.

Crafts are an excellent way for kids to practice their fine motor skills. Creating an apple lacing activity will hone a great many skills. Take a sheet of red or green craft foam and trace the shape of an apple on it. If your children are old enough to use scissors, have them cut out the foam. Then, use a handheld punch to create holes along the edges. Children can use yarn with tape on the end or a shoelace to lace around the apple.

Apple stamping is a classic craft that children love to do. Cut the apples in half and dip into the paint for stamping fun. Be ready to wash hands after this activity, because it is messy. But, it’s a ton of fun.
