Paper Christmas Tree Craft

Because this preschool Christmas craft requires no special supplies, your kids will be ready to make it in no time.

This craft is perfect for use in the classroom, at home, or during storytime at the library.

What You’ll Need

printer paper
crayons
scissors
glue stick

What You’ll Do

Print out the template (found at the bottom of this post). I prefer to use cardstock for my sample, because it’s sturdier.

However, printer paper may be easier for preschoolers to cut.

Have children color the pieces however they would like.

They can use Christmas colors, or they can get creative with their favorite colors.

One their Christmas tree pieces are just right, it’s time to cut them all out. Instruct kids to cut on the dotted line.

Younger preschoolers may need help from an older sibling or parent. But, this is a great opportunity to have them strengthen their fine motor muscles with a little scissor practice.

Now, it’s time to assemble the Christmas tree craft.

Begin by glueing the tree to the tree trunk.

Next, glue the three pieces of garland on the tree. Be sure not to cover up his face.

Then, glue the ornaments to the tree. There is no specific place they must go. Let children place them wherever they choose.

Finally, paste the star to the top of your paper Christmas tree craft.

Now, it’s all done. Display in your favorite craft area!
