Johnny Appleseed Craft
Are your kids learning about Johnny Appleseed? If so, this Johnny Appleseed craft is perfect for your lessons.
This paper craft for preschoolers is not just fun. It’s also a great way to help preschoolers work on fine motor and cutting skills.
You’ll find two versions of this craft. The first is full color – just cut and paste. The second is black and white for kids to color on their own before cutting and pasting the craft.
Johnny Appleseed Craft
No matter which version you choose, your preschoolers will love this quick and easy craft that’s perfect for your Johnny Appleseed activities.
What You’ll Need
- cardstock or printer paper
- colored construction paper
- scissors
- glue stick
- crayons or markers
- Johnny Appleseed craft template (scroll down to download)
What You’ll Do
Download and print the template. Choose which template to use. If you’re using the black and white version, have children color the individual pieces of the craft template.
Now, cut out all of the pieces to build your Johnny Appleseed paper craft.
Glue the body to a piece of construction paper. Be sure to place it toward the bottom so you have room to put the hat on his head.
Next, glue the head atop the neck of the full body piece.
Then, glue the hat to the top of Johnny’s head.
Next, glue his arms down, and glue the apple in one of his hands.
Glue the shoes to the end of each pant leg – flat side down.
Finally, add the little patch to his overalls, and you’re all set!
You’re all done! Super easy, huh?

Next, glue the arms to the shoulders. Glue the apple to one of his hands.
Glue one shoe to the bottom of each pant leg with the flat side on the bottom.
Add the patch to one leg of Johnny Appleseed’s overalls.
Finally, glue the pot to the top of his head.
Take your completed Johnny Appleseed craft, and glue it to a background paper.
