These printable counting mats make a great addition to your math centers!
Are you looking for something fun to add to your farm activities for preschoolers?
Do you need to change up your math center? Or, do you need another activity for your “Ff is for…” letter of the week activities?
I’ve got just the thing you need! These counting mats are the answer to all of those questions.
Your preschoolers will practice counting from 1-20 as they build their very own farm scenes.
Farm Theme Preschool Counting Mats
This low-prep activity can be added to your math center or lessons any time of year. Toddlers and preschoolers will practice one-to-one correspondence and counting from 1-20 with these counting mats.
All you have to do is print out the mats, cut apart the small cards at the back of the pack, and you’re ready to go! I suggest printing your pages on cardstock and laminating them for durability.
Have your student choose a card. Then, have them trace the number with a wet erase marker (if you’ve laminated the pages). Alternatively, they can use play doh to form the numbers.
Now comes the fun part!
Let your child choose from the pile of counting cards. They will add the specified number of cards to their counting mat.
They’ll work on one-to-one correspondence as they build their farm scenes. Will they add a farmer or two? Or will they stick with the cute animals? It’s totally up to them!
Either way, they’ll enjoy this fun addition to your farm-themed learning activities and math centers.
