As the leaves start to change color and the weather gets colder, it’s time to start thinking about fun fall activities for your preschoolers.

From apple picking to leaf crafts, there are plenty of ways to get your students excited about the season.

Here are 3 of our favorite fall activities for preschoolers:

Apple Picking: What could be more quintessentially fall than a trip to the apple orchard? Not only is apple picking a great way to get some fresh air and exercise, it’s also a great opportunity for your students to learn about where their food comes from. Plus, you can use the apples you pick to make all sorts of fun crafts and snacks afterwards

Leaf Crafts: Utilize all those pretty leaves that are falling from the trees to create some beautiful artwork! There are a million different leaf crafts you can do, so get creative. One simple idea is to have your students dip the leaves in paint and then press them onto construction paper to create colorful patterns.

Nature Scavenger Hunt: Get your students up and moving with this fun outdoor activity. Make a list of things that can typically be found in nature during the fall (leaves, acorns, pinecones, etc.) and send your students on a scavenger hunt to see how many items they can find. This is a great opportunity for them to explore their surroundings and learn more about the world around them.
