Completing the Activity

Christmas can be a fun time for preschoolers. There are many different ways to get into the Christmas spirit.

One way is to use color by number worksheets to help teach children about colors and Christmas.

These worksheets are available for free at the bottom of this post and can be a fun way to keep kids occupied while helping them learn at the same time.

First, give each child a coloring page and explain that they’ll use the color code to reveal a hidden Christmas picture.

Encourage them to identify the first number in the code and color in the corresponding number for each space on the worksheet.

Once they are finished, they will see a festive Christmas-themed scene.

Christmas Crafts for Preschoolers

Once you have finished reading a Christmas-themed book, why not get creative and do some fun Christmas crafts?

Here are five easy activities that you can easily do with your child.

Create paper ornaments– Cut out festive shapes from construction paper and help your preschooler decorate them with glitter, sequins, markers, and stickers. Hang your decorations on the tree or around the house.

Make a Santa handprint– Print out the free craft template, and use your child’s handprint for Santa’s beard.

Design gingerbread houses- Using graham crackers, icing, and candy, your preschooler can create their own gingerbread house.

Paint a Christmas tree– Draw or trace a Christmas tree onto a piece of paper and give your child some paint to transform it into a festive decoration.

Create Christmas cards- Help your child make homemade cards to share with family and friends. They can draw pictures, write messages, or use glitter to add sparkle to their designs.
