Apple Craft for Preschoolers

If you’re looking for a fun craft to do with your preschooler, look no further than apples! There are so many different ways to craft with apples, and preschoolers will love creating this simple, yet satisfying, activity.

What You’ll Need

  • popsicle sticks
  • colored paper (green, brown, and red)
  • glue
  • scissors
  • black paint
  • pencil

Making Your Apple Craft

Step one: To get started, gather all of your supplies beforehand. Just a note… instead of painting apple seeds on, your preschoolers might enjoy glueing real apple seeds to the apple before hanging it on the fridge.

Step two: On the colored paper, draw two circles. Kids may want/need to trace a cup or small bowl for their circle shape. Cut each circle in half and cut curves on the bottom of each cut half to resemble bite marks.

Step three: Glue four (4) popsicle sticks together. You can glue them together on their sides, or you can glue four sticks vertically to a stick turned horizontally. The horizontal stick will act as a brace for the vertical sticks.

Step four: Glue the half-circles to the top and bottom of the glued-together craft sticks.

Step five: Cut two small leaves from the green paper and a stem from the brown paper.

Step six: Glue the stem and the leaf to the top of the apple.

Step seven: To finish the craft, paint three black oval shapes onto the popsicle sticks to look like seeds. As I mentioned above, your child might enjoy gluing real seeds to their apple craft.

Now, the craft is complete and ready to be displayed for the season!
