Download this set of free alphabet posters! They’re perfect for home and school, and will help your little ones with letter recognition and beginning sounds. 

Before you start teaching preschoolers to read, they need to know the letters of the alphabet. Beginning readers also need to know the sound each letter of the alphabet makes.

These free printable alphabet worksheets are a great resource to have on hand in your preschool classroom.

It’s important to introduce the letters and their sounds in many different ways. Young readers need to be able to recognize the alphabet and each letter’s sounds in various contexts.

Alphabet Posters

In an effort to help you teach your preschoolers their letters and letter sounds, I have created a fun new printable pack for you. These free printable alphabet wall posters  can be used in a variety of ways.

First, you can laminate them and hang them in your child’s bedroom or playroom. You can hang them around the homeschool room or in your preschool classroom.

You can put them in a three-ring binder to create an alphabet book for your preschooler to flip through with you or on their own. If you put the posters in page protectors, you can store two pages back-to-back to create a book.

If you print the posters 4 to a page, they make great flashcards. I recommend laminating them before cutting them apart. Use a hole punch to punch a hole in one of the top corners. Thread them onto a ring to create a flip book.

Alphabet Books

Alphabet books are a great way to help preschoolers and kindergarteners learn their letters. And they don’t have to be boring, either!

There are all sorts of fun and engaging alphabet books out there, from books that teach the letters through rhyming verses to books that feature adorable animals.

Alphabet books can also be a great way for parents and caregivers to bond with their little ones. Reading together is always a special time, and it’s even more special when you’re sharing a book that’s helping your child learn something new.
