Easter Activity Pack

Learning the alphabet is a foundational skill for preschool classrooms. They need to not only recognize the letters of the alphabet, but they should learn to know both uppercase and lowercase versions of each letter.

Two of the activities in this pack address those skills. First, the Alphabet Easter Egg Hunt worksheets encourages children to work on letter identification and letter formation.

You can use this worksheet a couple of different ways. First, you could just let preschoolers trace the letters in each Easter egg.

Secondly, you can call out a letter and have children find the letter on the page before tracing it. This is a great way to get an idea of which letters your child still struggles to identify. You can also correct any handwriting issues you observe.

The second alphabet activity is an alphabet letter match. Print and laminate the page before cutting out the Easter eggs. Mix them up, and let your child match the uppercase and lowercase letters.

If you’re working with younger preschoolers who aren’t quite confident with their letters, you could print two copies of this page. Cut apart one page, and have children build the eggs using the other page as a guide.

Now, it’s time to work on motor skills with the pin and poke pages. This pack includes four of them. To use these pages as they’re designed, print the pages and have children use a push pin to poke holes along the dashed lines.

This is a great way to strengthen fine motor skills. Children will strengthen the muscles in their hands as they grasp the push pins and poke them through the paper.

They’ll also strengthen hand-eye coordination as they align the push pin and the holes outlining the various shapes.

This pack includes a pretty spring flower, an Easter basket, an Easter egg, and an Easter bunny to pin and poke.

If you want to work on different motor skills, you can use the pin and poke in a few different ways.

Turn them into tracing pages, and have children use pencils or markers to trace the dotted lines. You could laminate the pages and have kids use dry erase markers to trace the lines.

You can turn them into cutting pages by having kids cut out the pictures on the dotted lines. They can just cut around the edges or cut on all the dotted lines.

Finally, you can use wikki stix to trace the dotted lines. Wikki stix are waxed covered strings that bend every which way, and they will stick to papers as your kids trace the shapes with them.
