I’ve had a great time putting together some fun farm-themed activities for preschoolers. This cow craft is the perfect addition to this collection.
With just a few simple household items, your preschoolers will enjoy transforming an ordinary styrofoam cup into a cute little cow.
Simple Cow Craft for Kids
This simple farm animal craft can be used for decoration, reenacting favorite farm-themed stories, or added to a playscape.
- Small Styrofoam Cups
- 1 Piece Black Felt
- 1 Piece Pink Felt
- Googly Eyes, large
- Tacky Glue or Glue Stick
- Permanent Marker
- White Paper
Directions for Making a Cow Craft
First cut out some black felt spots, 1-2 inches in size.
Cut a pink oval piece about 2 inches in size and draw on a little mouth and 2 dots for the cow’s nostrils.
Cut 2 little cow ears out of white paper, 1-2 inches in size, and glue on a tiny strip of black felt in the middle of them.
Glue the spots all over on the cup.
Glue 2 google eyes on the front and the pink snout/mouth below the eyes.
Fold back a tiny edge of each ear, and glue this flat edge to the cup on each side so the ears stick out from the cup.
Let dry for about 30 minutes and fill with your favorite beverage.
This cow craft is fun for birthday parties, homeschool lessons, or rainy afternoon crafts!
