March is coming to an end, and the countdown to Easter is on. One of my favorite parts of Spring is celebrating Easter.
Here’s a great list of children’s books about Easter that you and your preschoolers are sure to love!
Children’s Books About Easter
The Story of Easter | This board book is a wonderful way to introduce young hearts to the miraculous story of the first Easter. Sweet text and adorable illustrations will engage kids as they read along with parents and grandparents.
An Easter Prayer | Little ones learn they have much to thank God for when spring arrives―bunnies, flowers, and Easter eggs are fun, but the best of all is Jesus!
The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story | The Bear cubs are candy-crazy this Easter! But Missus Ursula and some Sunday school students tell the cubs about Jesus’s resurrection and show them that salvation is much sweeter than candy! Includes a sheet of colorful stickers!
The First Easter Day | What would it have been like to be present on Easter Day? From a little bee buzzing with excitement that Jesus is alive to a bunny hopping in delight and the sun shining down on the risen Lord, children will be able to feel as well as see the events of the first Easter morning. The narrator considers various perspectives on the Resurrection and the joy felt by all who loved Jesus.
An Easter Gift for Me | Discover God’s Easter gift for you and for me Jesus came to Earth to teach people about God. ‘But some of the people did not understand the way Jesus fit into God’s special plan.’ He died on a cross, and that was sad. But he came alive again and lives in heaven today!
God Bless Our Easter | Preschoolers can’t help but notice all the new wonders of springtime, and God Bless Our Easter emphasizes that each blessing comes from God! Lambs, bunnies, ducklings, piglets, chicks―lots of snuggly farm animals will take your little ones through the sweet rhyming story and have them asking to read the book long after Easter is past.
Duck & Goose Here Comes the Easter Bunny! | Duck & Goose have lots of ideas about how to find the Easter Bunny, but will they succeed?
Fancy Nancy’s Elegant Easter | Throwing a fabulous and fancy Easter party is a very big job—and Nancy and Bree are in charge of decorating! This book includes thirteen flaps that open to reveal hidden surprises that will delight all festive Fancy Nancy fans!
Biscuit’s Pet & Play Easter | Pet the fuzzy yellow chick and hunt for shiny Easter eggs as you join Biscuit in this Easter touch-and-feel adventure!
Easter Surprise | Easter Surprise is a bright lively story for springtime! Follow Peter Rabbit as he excitedly hops along to share an Easter surprise with his friends. The charming rhyming story features lots of Beatrix Potter’s most famous characters, such as Tom Kitten and Jemima Puddle-Duck in a Pied Piper-style adventure.
Happy Easter Little Critter | Little Critter and his family celebrate Easter.
Where Are Baby’s Easter Eggs? | Where could the Easter eggs be? Children will discover colorful springtime objects under each of the six sturdy flaps until… they find Baby’s Easter eggs in a fold-out finale.
Here Comes the Easter Cat | Why should the Easter Bunny get all the love? That’s what Cat would like to know. So he decides to take over: He dons his sparkly suit, jumps on his Harley, and roars off into the night. But it turns out delivering Easter eggs is hard work. And it doesn’t leave much time for naps (of which Cat has taken five–no, seven). So when a pooped-out Easter Bunny shows up, and with a treat for Cat, what will Cat do? His surprise solution will be stylish, smart, and even–yes–kind.
Clifford’s Happy Easter | Clifford loves to help Emily Elizabeth, but his big red paws break eggs instead of painting them. Luckily, Clifford helps Emily another way–in her dreams! A bucket of Easter-egg dye creates the most colorful Clifford adventure yet and gets Emily ready for an unforgettable holiday.
The Night Before Easter | “Twas the night before Easter, just before dawn, Not a creature was stirring out on the lawn.” The Easter bunny takes center stage in this delightful spin on a beloved poem that will send families hopping to the bookstore for an Easter treat sweeter than any sugar plum!
Marshmallow | Oliver is a tabby cat who is always the center of attention. Marshmallow is a baby rabbit who moves into Oliver’s home. At first, Oliver does not welcome Marshmallow, but the little bunny’s charms are impossible to resist. This is the true story of how Oliver and Marshmallow become friends.

The Easter Egg |A lovable bunny becomes a hero when he keeps a robin’s egg safe and warm until the baby bird hatches. As the story unfolds, a wealth of winsome forest animals, decorated eggs, and springtime flora keep little readers engaged until the tale ends.
God Gave Us Easter | As Little Cub celebrates Easter with Papa, Mama, and her brother and sister, she begins to ask her papa questions about this very special day of the year. Papa lovingly explains God’s plans for his children, while taking Little Cub on a memorable walk through her stunning Arctic world, and he shares how Easter came about in clear, simple terms that even the littlest cubs can understand.
Thomas and the Easter Eggs | Thomas the Tank Engine comes up with a quick and clever way to save Sodor’s annual Easter egg hunt from disaster.
